River Leen
The Leen runs through the district on its way south to the Trent. Its narrow course, lined in places by green strips, is one of the few irregular lines in an otherwise orderly street plan.

Basford Map Poster & Print
Basford lies north-west of central Nottingham, in the valley of the River Leen. Its street pattern shows the district's past as an industrial suburb. Rows of terraced houses run in long parallel lines, and among them sit larger plots where mills, works and a brewery once stood. The river and the railway corridors run north to south and give the district a clear spine.
Today the Nottingham Express Transit tram runs through Basford on its way between the city and Hucknall, following an old rail alignment. Newer housing and retail sites have replaced some of the old industrial land, and on the map their curving cul-de-sacs stand out from the straight Victorian terraces. Parks and allotments break up the built-up area into smaller parts.
A Basford map poster captures a real working neighbourhood rather than a showpiece. The black lines pick up the rhythm of the terraces, the curve of the Leen and the long straight line of the tram route. It is a good choice for anyone who wants their own part of Nottingham on the wall instead of a generic city view.

Tram corridor
The NET tram line cuts through Basford on a long, gentle alignment. On the poster it reads as a clean line connecting the suburb with the centre of Nottingham.
Terraced grid
Long rows of Victorian terraces form tight parallel blocks. From above they create a fine texture that contrasts with the larger plots left behind by former industry.

Miért Basford?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many people have a strong attachment to the Nottingham district where they grew up or bought their first house. A Basford map records that exact place, down to the terrace and the corner shop, which is something a general city print cannot do.
Add your own title, a line with a date or a house name, and the coordinates. The five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, range from high contrast to a softer warm tone.
