Compact town core
The oldest part of the town forms a tight cluster of buildings and narrow lanes. It is the darkest, most detailed area of the map, with lines thinning out toward the edges.

Batabo Map Poster & Print
Batabo lies in the countryside west of Aleppo, in the rolling limestone uplands of north-western Syria. From above, it looks like many towns in this region: a compact centre of closely packed buildings, with lanes branching out and getting looser as they reach the surrounding farmland. Field boundaries and tracks spread out from the edges in a patchwork that follows the gentle shape of the ground.
The land around the town is farmed, and orchards and cultivated plots make up much of the map beyond the built-up area. Roads link Batabo to neighbouring villages and to the larger towns of the district, and they cross the plain in long, slightly wandering lines. The overall picture is of a settlement that grew from its surroundings rather than to a plan.
A Batabo map poster turns that pattern into something calm and legible: a dense core, open fields and the thin network of tracks that holds them together. For a place that most maps show only as a name, seeing its streets drawn in detail can mean a lot, especially to people who live far away from it now.

Field patchwork
Farmland surrounds the settlement in irregular plots and orchards. Their boundaries give the outer part of the poster a soft, woven texture.
Village roads
Rural roads leave the town toward neighbouring settlements and the wider Aleppo countryside, drawing long lines that anchor the composition from edge to edge.

Miért Batabo?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For families who have left the region, a detailed map of home can hold more than a photograph does: the lane to a relative's house, the road out to the fields, the place a life began. It is a quiet way to keep that close.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to change, whether with a family name, an Arabic place name in Latin script or a meaningful year. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
