Belton Map Poster & Print
Belton is the county seat of Bell County in Central Texas, and its map has a clear centre: a small downtown grid around the county courthouse square. From there the streets spread out in older, regular blocks before loosening into newer subdivisions. Nolan Creek cuts through town in a meandering line, and the Leon River passes to the south, giving the map its natural curves.
Interstate 35 runs along the eastern side of town as a long, straight corridor, a strong contrast to the creek's bends. To the northwest, the reservoir of Belton Lake opens into a wide, branching shape with many fingers of water reaching into the surrounding land. The town is also home to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, whose campus forms its own tidy block near the centre.
A Belton map poster brings these layers together: the courthouse square, the creek, the interstate and the lake. In monochrome, the water and roads read almost like a drawing of how a small Texas town grew, from a compact nineteenth-century core toward the highway and the shoreline.

Nolan Creek
The creek winds through town in soft loops, lined in places by green space, and adds a natural, irregular line to the otherwise structured street plan.
Belton Lake
Northwest of town the reservoir spreads into a long body of water with many inlets, one of the most striking shapes in the whole composition.
