Looping residential streets
Crescents and cul-de-sacs define most neighbourhoods, producing a rounded, flowing pattern that looks very different from the straight grids of older American towns.

Bethany Map Poster & Print
Bethany sits in Washington County on the western side of the Portland metropolitan area, and its map looks unmistakably like the late twentieth century. Instead of a grid, the streets loop and curl into cul-de-sacs, crescents and gently bending collectors, with small parks and stream corridors threaded between neighbourhoods. The pattern is soft and organic, almost like a leaf's veins.
Much of the community grew up in recent decades, as the metro area pushed outward from the hills west of the city. To the north and west the density falls away quickly, and the suburban lines give way to the wide field geometry of farmland, which makes the edge of Bethany clearly visible from above.
A Bethany map poster captures that contrast between busy residential curves and the open land beyond them. In black and white, the stream corridors and green spaces become calm pauses among the loops, and the whole sheet has the balanced, flowing rhythm of a planned suburb rather than an old town grown in layers.

Green corridors
Creeks and parkland run between housing areas as narrow bands of open space, dividing the map into distinct neighbourhood pockets.
Rural edge
To the north and west the streets thin out into farmland, so the poster shows a clear boundary where the suburb meets the countryside.

Miért Bethany?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Bethany is often where a family settled, where children grew up, or where a first house was bought. A map of those curving streets is a personal record of daily routes, school runs and walks along the green corridors.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps the year you moved in, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It works as a gift for new homeowners as easily as for yourself.
