Bhaun Map Poster & Print
Bhaun is a town in Chakwal district in Punjab, Pakistan, on the Potohar plateau a short distance from the city of Chakwal. The Salt Range rises to the south. The country around the town mixes cultivated fields with the eroded, gully-cut ground typical of this part of northern Punjab, and on the map the town appears as a compact cluster of lanes.
The settlement is dense at the centre, with narrow streets drawn close together, and looser toward the edges where fields and scattered buildings begin. Farming here depends largely on rainfall. As a result, the surrounding map shows field boundaries, village tracks and seasonal streams rather than the canal grids found further south in Punjab.
A Bhaun map poster is a personal record of a specific place. Many families from the Chakwal area live in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, the Gulf or the United Kingdom, and a map of the home town keeps its streets in view. The clean line style gives the dense core and the open land around it equal clarity.

Potohar ground
Around Bhaun the plateau is cut by gullies and seasonal streams, and their fine, branching lines on the map reveal the broken terrain.
Road to Chakwal
A short road links the town to Chakwal, the district centre, forming a clear line that orients the whole composition.

Miért Bhaun?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
