High street spine
The main road runs north to south through the centre. The older shops and terraces gather along it, and the rest of the town branches off from there.

Bloxwich Map Poster & Print
Bloxwich sits on the northern side of Walsall in the West Midlands, along the main road towards Cannock. Its map is dense and varied. There are older terraced streets near the high street, larger interwar and post-war estates further out, and scattered patches of green and former industrial land that break up the housing.
The town has a long industrial history. It was known for making awl blades and other small metal goods for the leather trade, which Walsall was famous for. The canals and railway of the Black Country run nearby. Their lines still cut through the map, a reminder of how this area was once linked to the region's workshops and foundries.
A Bloxwich map poster suits anyone who knows its streets from the inside: the high street, the park, the estate where they grew up. As a print, Bloxwich has a busy, textured look. Straight Victorian rows sit next to the curves of later housing, all held together by a few main roads and the route of the canal.

Canal lines
Black Country canal routes pass close to the town. They make smooth, deliberate curves that contrast with the street grid around them.
Estate rings
Twentieth-century housing estates surround the older core in crescents, loops and closes, filling most of the map with their rounded shapes.
