Burngreave Cemetery
The Victorian cemetery is a large open shape inside the district. Its winding internal paths contrast with the tight terraced rows that surround it on the surrounding slopes.

Burngreave Map Poster & Print
Burngreave is an inner-city district of Sheffield, just north of the city centre on the slopes above the Don valley. Sheffield is a city of hills, and Burngreave shows it clearly. Rows of terraced housing follow the contours instead of a strict grid, so the streets bend and step as they climb. The main roads cut straighter lines up the gradient.
The large Burngreave Cemetery is one of the clearest shapes on the map, an irregular block of open ground among dense housing. Around it, parks and green slopes break up the built fabric. Burngreave is known as one of the most culturally diverse parts of Sheffield, with community life, shops and places of worship spread along its main roads.
A Burngreave map poster suits anyone who knows the area street by street. The pattern of terraces, the cemetery's outline and the roads running down towards the city centre make a detailed, textured image. It rewards a close look. The neighbourhood is small enough that almost every lane fits on the sheet.

Contour-hugging terraces
Streets of terraced houses curve along the hillside instead of running in straight lines. They produce the rippled, layered texture typical of Sheffield's steeper neighbourhoods.
Roads to the centre
Main roads run downhill from Burngreave towards central Sheffield and the Don valley. They are strong diagonal lines that tie the district to the rest of the city.

Miért Burngreave?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Burngreave is the kind of place people carry with them after they move away: the school run, the corner shops, the view down the hill. A map of its streets is a simple way to keep that daily geography close.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, perhaps to a street name or the year you arrived. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand give the terraces a warmer, softer tone.
