Great East Road
The main highway east from Lusaka runs straight through the town. It forms the spine from which almost every other street branches off.

Chongwe Map Poster & Print
Chongwe lies a short drive east of Lusaka, on the Great East Road that runs toward Eastern Province and the border with Malawi. From above, the town follows the highway closely. A commercial strip lines the road, and residential plots spread out on either side into open savanna and farmland. The Chongwe River, which gives the town and the district their name, passes nearby.
The district is largely agricultural and supplies produce to the capital. In recent years Chongwe has grown as Lusaka's metropolitan area pushes eastward. This gives the map an unfinished, evolving character, with planned plots and new roads extending into what was farmland not long ago. With little more than a road, a river and plots, the growth is easy to read from above.
A Chongwe map poster captures a town in the middle of change. The Great East Road provides a strong central line, the river adds a natural curve, and the grid of new residential plots shows how quickly the town is spreading. For people who live here, commute to Lusaka or have family in the district, it is a very current portrait.

Chongwe River
The river that shares the town's name crosses the nearby landscape, adding a gently meandering line to a map otherwise defined by roads and plots.
New residential plots
Newly laid-out streets and plots on the edges of town form regular grids, a visible sign of the town's steady growth as the capital expands.

Miért Chongwe?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Chongwe is a place where many families have recently chosen to build a home. A map of it can mark that decision, a first plot of land or a move out of the city, in a way that feels considered rather than sentimental.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are fully editable. The design comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Start with the free 900 px preview, then buy the HD files or a printed poster.
