Longchuan River
The river winds through the city along the valley floor, and the street network follows its course, giving the poster a gentle, meandering central line.

Chuxiong Map Poster & Print
Chuxiong sits in a basin in central Yunnan, surrounded by folded, forested hills. On a map the city stretches along the valley floor, following the Longchuan River, with a compact older centre and newer districts laid out on broad, regular avenues. Expressways and rail lines run through the basin on the route linking Kunming in the east with Dali in the west.
It is the seat of the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and Yi culture is central to the city's identity, most visibly during the annual Torch Festival held in summer. The surrounding prefecture is also known for dinosaur fossils: Lufeng County, to the east, gave its name to Lufengosaurus, one of the early dinosaurs described in China.
A Chuxiong map poster shows a city defined by its setting. The valley holds the streets in a long, flowing shape, the river threads through the middle, and the hills leave soft blank margins around the edges. In black and white the outline of the basin becomes the frame itself, which makes the composition feel balanced and calm.

Basin setting
Steep hills surround the built-up area on several sides, so the city appears as a dense shape framed by open space, like a lake of streets in the mountains.
New avenues
Recent districts are laid out on wide, straight roads and large blocks, contrasting on the map with the tighter pattern of the older centre closer to the river.

Miért Chuxiong?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Chuxiong is home to Yi families, to workers who moved along the Kunming–Dali corridor, and to travellers who stopped in the valley on their way west. The map gives that place a lasting presence, uncluttered and easy to read from across a room.
Customise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name or a family date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
