Castle and old core
The castle's angular footprint anchors a tight knot of medieval lanes, the darkest and most intricate part of the print.

Copertino Map Poster & Print
Copertino is in the province of Lecce, deep in the Salento peninsula of Apulia, on the level limestone plain between the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. The land around it is agricultural and flat, with olive groves and vineyards. There are almost no hills, so the town's shape on a map comes entirely from the way it has grown over time.
At its centre is a dense historic core of narrow, irregular lanes built around the castle, a large fortified structure with angled bastions. Outside that core, later streets settle into a looser grid. Ring and connecting roads then circle the town and lead out towards Lecce, Nardò and the smaller towns nearby, dividing the surrounding fields into long wedges.
Copertino is best known as the home of Saint Joseph of Cupertino, the seventeenth-century friar associated with levitation. Cupertino in California takes its name from him. A Copertino map poster suits anyone with family roots in Salento, or visitors who were drawn by that link between a small Apulian town and Silicon Valley.

Surrounding road ring
Roads loop around the built-up area and send spokes out to neighbouring Salento towns, giving the map a clear centre-and-radial structure.
Olive plain
Around the town the map opens into thin country roads crossing flat farmland, which makes a quiet border for the dense centre.

Miért Copertino?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For Apulian emigrant families this is the town grandparents talked about. For others it is a stop on a Salento road trip, or a curious link to the California city that shares its saint and its name.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a family surname or the date of a visit. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to warm Sand, and get digital HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
