Old town lanes
Narrow, irregular lanes in the historic core weave between closely set buildings. This is the densest and most intricate part of the map.

Depālpur Map Poster & Print
Depālpur is a town in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, west of Indore on the Malwa plateau. Seen from above, it has the shape of many long-established market towns in central India. A tightly packed core of narrow lanes and closely built houses sits at the centre, and a few roads run outward through farmland toward neighbouring villages.
The plateau here is broad and gently rolling, with deep black soils well suited to soybean, wheat and other crops. Field boundaries, small ponds and seasonal streams give the surroundings a fine texture on a map, in contrast with the dense grain of the town. Depālpur is the headquarters of its tehsil, and people come in from the surrounding countryside for its services and markets.
A Depālpur map poster brings out the contrast between the crowded centre and the open fields. The lanes of the older quarters knot together around markets and temples, while newer streets extend along the main roads. Printed in a single colour, the pattern looks almost like a textile, dense in the middle and sparse at the edges.

Roads to the plateau
Main roads leave the town in several directions. Newer buildings line them at first, then give way to farmland and scattered villages.
Water in the landscape
Ponds, tanks and seasonal streams dot the surrounding fields. These small shapes add rhythm to the otherwise level plateau around the town.

Miért Depālpur?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many people from Depālpur now live and work in Indore, in other Indian cities or abroad. A map of the town's streets is a considered way to keep a birthplace or ancestral home on the wall, clear enough to read and quiet enough to live with every day.
Set a custom title and subtitle, such as a family name or a date that matters, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF in six sizes, with no watermark.
