Village core
The old centre keeps an irregular, organic street pattern around its church, a clear contrast with the more regular residential estates that grew outward during the twentieth century.

Ekeren Map Poster & Print
Ekeren sits on the northern edge of Antwerp, a former municipality that became a district of the city in 1983. From above it reads as a place of transitions: an older village core with curving lanes around its church, newer residential areas laid out in tidier loops, and then the hard straight lines of railway and motorway that separate it from the docks and industrial basins further west.
The rail corridor between Antwerp and the Netherlands runs through the district, and on a map it cuts a clean line that the street pattern has had to bend around. Parks, sports grounds and patches of woodland break up the housing, so the poster alternates between dense clusters of fine lines and open blank areas that give the composition room to breathe.
An Ekeren map poster suits people who know the district from daily life rather than from postcards: the walk to the station, a school route, a street where a family has lived for decades. Because the area is compact, individual streets stay legible, and the contrast between village lanes and heavy infrastructure becomes the main graphic idea of the print.

Rail corridor
The line toward the Netherlands crosses the district as a long straight band, one of the strongest lines on the poster and a steady anchor for the eye.
Green pockets
Parks, woodland patches and playing fields appear as calm open shapes between the housing, keeping the map from turning into a uniform field of streets.

Miért Ekeren?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Ekeren is a place people call home rather than a destination, which makes it a personal choice for a wall. A map of the district can mark a first house, a childhood street or a move to Antwerp, and the title, subtitle and coordinates line can be edited to say exactly that.
Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital HD files cost $9 and include six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF without watermark, while printed posters on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
