The railway fork
Ermesinde's station sits at the junction of the Minho and Douro lines. On the map, the tracks visibly separate, giving the town a clear structural spine.

Ermesinde Map Poster & Print
Ermesinde is a city in the municipality of Valongo, a short distance northeast of central Porto. From above, it is dense and continuous with the wider metropolitan area. Apartment blocks, older houses and winding streets fill the gently hilly ground. The small Leça river passes nearby in a green valley, which adds a soft, curving line to the surrounding grid.
The town grew around its railway station, a junction where the Minho and Douro lines divide. Much of modern Ermesinde developed in the twentieth century as a commuter town for Porto, and its street pattern shows that growth: an older core near the station, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods that follow the contours outward.
The tracks are the strongest feature on the Ermesinde map poster. They enter from the south, fork, and head off in different directions, cutting the fine-grained streets into distinct parts. Around them the residential fabric is dense and irregular, with small green areas along the watercourses. The result is a busy but balanced composition in black and white.

Leça river valley
The Leça winds past the town in a narrow valley. Its line and the green strips along its banks soften the dense suburban street pattern.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets curve with the rolling terrain. Their loops and cul-de-sacs contrast clearly with the straighter older roads leading toward the station.

Miért Ermesinde?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many people know Ermesinde as the place they grew up, the stop where they changed trains, or their first home outside Porto. A map of its streets and rail lines captures that everyday geography in a form that sits well in a hallway, kitchen or study.
Add your own title and subtitle, keep the coordinates line or rewrite it, and include a date if you like. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room it will hang in.
