Fairview Heights Map Poster & Print
Fairview Heights is a city in St. Clair County, Illinois, in the Metro East area across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. It is a suburban community, and its map reflects that. From above, curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs fill the spaces between major roads, while larger commercial buildings and parking areas cluster near the interstate.
Interstate 64 crosses the city, and its long, smooth lines and interchanges are among the strongest shapes on the map. Around them, commercial corridors run along the main roads, and residential neighbourhoods spread out in looping patterns. A Fairview Heights map poster captures the typical form of an American suburb, with clear contrasts between highway, shops and homes.
The city is best known in the region as a shopping destination, anchored by St. Clair Square and the retail strips around it. A MetroLink light rail station connects Fairview Heights to St. Louis, and Scott Air Force Base lies a short drive to the east. It is a place many people in the Metro East pass through every week.
