Compact town core
The centre is a dense grid of narrow lanes and closely built plots, which prints as a solid, finely detailed mass against the lighter fields around it.

Ghauspur Map Poster & Print
Ghauspur sits in the northern reaches of Sindh, in the broad alluvial plain shaped over centuries by the Indus. From above, the town appears as a tight cluster of lanes and low blocks, surrounded on every side by a patchwork of irrigated fields. Roads leave the centre in several directions, linking it to neighbouring villages and market towns across a landscape that is almost perfectly level.
What gives the surrounding map its texture is water. Irrigation channels and field drains cut long straight lines through the farmland, and the pattern of plots follows them closely. In black and white, these lines read almost like engraving, with the denser weave of the town standing out as a darker knot in the middle of an otherwise open composition.
A Ghauspur map poster keeps the focus on that contrast between settlement and farmland. The town is modest in size, with a population of around thirty thousand, and its outline is best appreciated at a scale that includes some of the surrounding countryside. The result is a quiet, graphic print that records a place many people know first as home rather than as a destination.

Irrigation lines
Canals and field channels typical of the Indus plain run in long, mostly straight strokes across the map, giving the outskirts a strong linear rhythm.
Radiating roads
Several roads leave town toward neighbouring settlements, and on a poster they act as spokes that anchor the composition and connect the centre to the wider district.

Miért Ghauspur?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For families from Ghauspur and people who have moved away to Karachi, the Gulf or further afield, the map is a small, exact portrait of home. It works well in a hallway or study, where the fine line work can be seen up close.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line, then choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital files cost $9, or order a printed, optionally framed copy.
