Barrio de las Cuevas
The cave district spreads over rounded clay hills, with lanes looping between mounds and small yards. On the map it reads as a fine, organic web, nothing like a grid.

Guadix Map Poster & Print
Guadix lies on a high plateau in the province of Granada, with the Sierra Nevada rising to the south. The map shows two towns in one. The lower centre has the dense, irregular streets of an old Andalusian city around its cathedral and Moorish alcazaba. The southern districts break up into a maze of small lanes cut among clay hills.
That second pattern belongs to the Barrio de las Cuevas, where many residents still live in cave houses dug into the soft ground. White chimneys and doorways dot the slopes. On a map the effect is unusual. Paths loop around rounded mounds instead of forming blocks, and the edge of town fades into ravines and badlands.
A Guadix map poster rewards close looking. The town was Roman Acci and is one of the oldest settlements in Spain, and its cathedral and cave quarter show how many layers it has. A large print lets the twisting lanes and scored hillsides stand out clearly. It suits anyone drawn to Andalusia beyond the coast and the better-known cities.

Cathedral and alcazaba
The historic core gathers around the cathedral and the remains of the Moorish fortress. This compact knot of narrow streets is the oldest layer of the town.
Badlands edge
Beyond the houses, the eroded land of the Guadix basin breaks into gullies and ridges. The built area ends in an irregular, frayed outline instead of a clean boundary.
