Hermosa is a municipality in the province of Bataan, at the northern end of the Bataan peninsula in Central Luzon. On a map it stretches from the low, wet land near the shores of Manila Bay in the east to forested uplands in the west. The town centre sits along the main road that runs down the peninsula, with fishponds and rice fields spreading around it.
As one of the gateways between Bataan and the neighbouring province of Pampanga, Hermosa sits on important routes through the region. The roads leading through the town have long connected the peninsula with the rest of Luzon, and they remain the primary path for travel between Manila and Bataan's southern towns.
