Valley settlement band
The built-up areas follow the valley floor in a long, narrow strip. The hills on both sides make the town's outline stretch out rather than spread.

Hilchenbach Map Poster & Print
Hilchenbach lies in the Siegerland, in the far southeast of North Rhine-Westphalia, where the land rises into the Rothaar Mountains. From above, the town looks less like one center than a chain of districts following the valley. Houses and roads fill the flat ground, and woodland takes over wherever the slopes get steeper.
The layout is set by water and terrain. Streets run along the length of the valley, while short side roads climb a little way into the hills and stop at the forest edge. The regional railway and the main road share the same corridor, so the map shows a compact band of settlement surrounded by large open areas that print as calm white space.
The Rothaarsteig, a long-distance hiking trail along the crest of the mountains, passes through the surrounding hills, and those forests are a large part of what defines the town. A Hilchenbach map poster keeps that relationship visible: a thin line of streets held in place by hills. It feels more like a landscape than a street plan.

Forest edges
Wide wooded slopes surround the town and appear on the map as open space. They frame the streets and give the composition a quiet, uncluttered margin.
Rail and road corridor
The railway and the main road run side by side through the valley. These two parallel lines connect the separate districts from one end of town to the other.

Miért Hilchenbach?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
This map suits someone who grew up in the Siegerland, hikes the ridges on weekends or simply likes towns shaped by their landscape. The narrow band of streets between the hills reads well at larger sizes, where the empty forest areas give the design room to breathe.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a year or family name, and a coordinates line. Pick one of five styles, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get it as HD files for printing at home or as a matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
