Guayamouc River
The river loops past the town in wide, uneven bends. It is the strongest organic line on the poster, set against the straight streets of the centre.

Hinche Map Poster & Print
Hinche is the capital of Haiti's Centre department and the main town of the Central Plateau. On the map it is a fairly regular grid of streets around a central square, laid across open, gently rolling country. The Guayamouc River runs close to the town, and its winding course is the most striking natural line on the sheet.
The town is known as the birthplace of Charlemagne Péralte, who led resistance to the United States occupation in the early twentieth century and is remembered as a national hero. Outside town, the Bassin Zim waterfall is one of the best-known natural sights in the region. For the plateau, Hinche is the place for markets, schools and administration.
A Hinche map poster shows a town where the grid ends abruptly. Past the last blocks, roads turn into tracks that run out across farmland toward scattered villages. The river winding past the ordered streets gives the poster its balance, and the black-and-white treatment brings out both the right-angled centre and the looser country around it.

Central square grid
Hinche's core follows a regular block pattern around its main square and cathedral area, a layout that reads clearly at any print size.
Roads onto the plateau
Routes leave the town in several directions across the Central Plateau. On the poster they become thin lines running out to the frame, placing Hinche at the centre of its region.

Miért Hinche?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For families from the Centre department, and for people in the diaspora who trace their roots to the plateau, Hinche is a strong place to put on a wall. The map is simple and legible, and it keeps a whole town in one clear image.
Give the poster your own title, a subtitle such as a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. You can order a matte print, framed if you like, or download print-ready files.
