Rio de Contas
The river runs past the town and shapes its layout. On the poster it is a strong, flowing line that the streets lean toward, giving the composition a clear sense of direction.

Ipiaú Map Poster & Print
Ipiaú sits in the interior of southern Bahia, in hilly country where the Rio de Contas makes its way toward the Atlantic. From above, the town is a dense patch of short streets packed against the river. It then thins into looser blocks that climb the surrounding slopes. The water gives the whole plan its main direction, and most roads either follow it or run straight down to it.
The land around the town has long been part of Bahia's cocoa region, where tree crops grow under shade on rolling ground. On a map this shows as open space around the urban edge, with country roads leaving the centre and winding into the hills. The contrast is clear: tight, busy lines in the middle and wide, quiet space around them.
A Ipiaú map poster turns that contrast into a clean graphic. The curve of the river holds the eye, the central blocks give it texture, and the outer roads trail off toward the edges of the frame. In black and white, the town reads as a small, well-defined place set in a much larger landscape, which is how many people who grew up there remember it.

Hillside blocks
Away from the river the street pattern loosens and follows the slopes. The result is a mix of straight central roads and bending outer lanes that adds depth to the print.
Cocoa country edges
Beyond the built-up area, open land and winding rural roads take over. That empty space frames the town and leaves the dense centre standing out clearly.
