Village tanks
Ponds and tanks appear across the map as rounded shapes. They reflect the name and the long tradition of water storage in the region's fields.

Keezhkulam Map Poster & Print
Keezhkulam lies in Kanyakumari district at the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, in a green, well-watered landscape near the Arabian Sea coast. The name contains the Tamil word kulam, a tank or pond, and the area around it is dotted with the reservoirs used for local irrigation for generations. On a map, these bodies of water punctuate the settlement.
The street pattern is loose and organic. Lanes follow field boundaries and the edges of the ponds, and they branch towards scattered clusters of houses set among palms. There's no single dense centre. The settlement spreads along roads and fills in the land between them, typical of the densely populated countryside in this part of India.
A Keezhkulam map poster captures this softer kind of place. The winding lanes, rounded ponds and gentle spread of buildings make a composition quite unlike a gridded city. Printed in black and white, the settlement's close relationship with water and farmland comes through clearly.

Meandering lanes
The roads bend around fields, groves and waterbodies rather than running straight. Together they make a loose, branching network that gives the map an organic texture.
Dispersed settlement
Houses spread along the lanes instead of gathering in one core. On the poster this gives an even, scattered pattern, typical of the thickly settled countryside of the far south.

Miért Keezhkulam?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many families from Kanyakumari district live and work far from home, in Chennai, the Gulf or overseas. A map of their home town keeps a quiet connection to the lanes, ponds and fields they grew up with.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with the name in Tamil script or a family name. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check it before buying.
