Radiating main roads
Several roads leave the town centre in different directions towards the wider Mandoul region. They form the strongest lines on the poster and give the town its star-like outline.

Koumra Map Poster & Print
Koumra is a town in southern Chad and the administrative centre of the Mandoul region. The land here is savanna rather than the desert of the country's north. From above, the town looks like a loose web of roads and compounds, with streets thinning out into tracks that cross farmland and scattered woodland.
Southern Chad is the country's main farming zone, and cotton has long been one of its important crops. That rural setting explains much of Koumra's shape on a map. There is no dense grid. Instead, main roads lead in from surrounding districts and the town grows along them, with open ground between clusters of houses.
A Koumra map poster is a study in spare lines. The central streets show as a modest cluster, and longer roads run out towards neighbouring settlements. Around them, empty space stands for fields and bush. It is a quiet, understated composition, well suited to someone with a personal link to the town and to people who like maps that leave room to breathe.

Compound neighbourhoods
Residential areas are made up of irregular blocks and short lanes rather than a formal grid. From above, that pattern looks organic, almost hand-drawn.
Open savanna edge
The built-up area fades gradually into farmland and scattered trees. The map ends in open space rather than a hard boundary, which suits minimalist styles such as Paper or Sand.

Miért Koumra?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Maps of smaller towns such as Koumra are rarely printed, so a poster can be a meaningful keepsake for families, former residents or aid and development workers who spent time there and want to remember the place accurately.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a name or the year you lived there. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let you choose a bold or gentle look.
