Taquari river bend
The wide, curving river sets the city's eastern boundary. It is the boldest shape on the map, and every approach road and bridge relates to it.

Lajeado Map Poster & Print
Lajeado sits on the west bank of the Taquari River in Rio Grande do Sul, in the valley named after that river. From above, a large sweeping bend of the Taquari defines the city's eastern edge. The street grid starts near the water and climbs west into hilly country. Bridges link it with Estrela on the opposite bank, and farmland and woodland cover the slopes around both towns.
The valley was settled largely by European immigrant families, most of them German-speaking, and today the city is a regional centre for services and food industries. The river that shaped Lajeado can also turn dangerous. The severe floods of 2023 and 2024 hit neighbourhoods near the Taquari hard and showed how closely the city's layout depends on the water.
A Lajeado map poster makes the river the main subject. The broad curve of the Taquari, the bridges and the streets reaching down toward the banks create a strong composition. On the western side, the city breaks up into looser patterns as it runs into the hills.

Twin-town bridges
Road crossings tie Lajeado to Estrela across the water. On the map the two towns read as a single settlement divided by the river.
Hillside neighbourhoods
West of the centre, the streets start to curve and branch as the ground rises. The hillside districts have an irregular, organic look compared with the flatter blocks near the river.
