Railway line
The line between Yangon and Pyay passes straight through town, a long, strong stroke that gives the composition its main direction.

Letpandan Map Poster & Print
Letpandan lies in the Tharrawaddy area of Bago Region in lower Myanmar, on the flat country north of Yangon. The town grew along the railway and road that run up the Irrawaddy valley towards Pyay, and the map shows these two routes as the organising lines of the settlement, with streets arranged close to them.
The centre gathers around the station and market, with residential streets spreading outward along the main routes. Beyond the built-up edge, the landscape turns almost immediately to rice paddies, divided into small plots by earth banks and irrigation ditches, with scattered villages and monasteries among the fields.
This is one of the rice-growing regions that feed lower Myanmar, and its rhythm is set by the monsoon and the harvest. A Letpandan map poster presents the town simply and accurately: a dense cluster on a railway line, surrounded by the fine, repeating geometry of flooded fields seen from above.

Station quarter
Streets are densest near the station and market, forming the town's core, and the pattern loosens quickly as you move away from the tracks.
Paddy mosaic
Around the town, rice fields break the land into countless small plots, a delicate texture that fills the sheet and frames the built-up area.
