Maasin Map Poster & Print
Maasin is the capital of Southern Leyte and sits on the province's western coast, where the land rises quickly from the shore. From above, the town centre forms a dense strip along the waterfront, with a port, a coastal road and a small grid of streets. Behind it, the terrain climbs into green hills, and barangays spread out along roads that follow the coast and the valleys.
The city is the seat of a Catholic diocese, and its cathedral stands in the town centre. On a Maasin map poster, the sharp line of the coast is the strongest element. The built-up area follows it and thins out as it reaches the slopes, while the sea becomes a broad, calm field that balances the busier town.
Southern Leyte looks across the water toward Bohol and Mindanao, and Maasin is the province's administrative and commercial centre. The coastline, the hills and the gradual spread of settlements along the roads give the map a layered look that moves from the dense centre to scattered villages and then to open ground and sea.

Coastal road
A road hugs the shoreline in both directions, linking outlying barangays and drawing a long, thin line of settlement that reaches well beyond the centre.
Rising hills
Just inland the land climbs steeply, so roads bend and branch into the valleys and leave large areas of open terrain that contrast with the dense town.

Miért Maasin?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Maasin means something particular to those who studied, worked or grew up there, and to the many Leyteños now living in Manila or overseas. A clean map of the coastline and centre is a meaningful piece for a family home or an office.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, so you can add a barangay name or an important year. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
