Mahudha is a town in Kheda district, in the flat, intensively farmed heart of Gujarat between Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The land is almost level, so the map has no hills or coastline to give it shape. The shape comes from the settlement itself: a tight core of lanes that grew over time without a plan, surrounded by open fields and the roads that link it to neighbouring villages.
In the old part of town the streets are short and irregular, bending around blocks of closely packed houses as in many Gujarati towns. Wider roads cut through or skirt this centre, carrying traffic toward Nadiad and the district's other towns. Further out, the pattern thins into scattered lines across farmland, and field tracks mark the edges of the settlement.
