Dense residential lanes
Closely packed lanes and alleys fill the spaces between the main roads, creating a rich, fine-grained texture that is typical of the lowland communities around Manila.

Malanday Map Poster & Print
Malanday lies in the flat lowlands north of Manila, where the capital's urban area gradually gives way to the towns of Central Luzon. The ground here is low and close to sea level, and that shapes the map: dense neighbourhoods packed between waterways, with the main roads running through them as the clearest lines on the page.
The streets are short and closely spaced and form irregular clusters rather than a regular grid. Narrow lanes branch off the main routes into residential pockets. Creeks and drainage channels wind through the area toward the bay, and in the wider district open land and water still interrupt the housing in places, mixing dense texture with calmer space.
A Malanday map poster is a portrait for people who know the place at street level: the way to school, the family house, the corner where the jeepney stopped. Drawn in fine black line, the dense pattern of the neighbourhood becomes something calm and considered, a view of home rarely seen from above.

Main road spines
A few major roads cross the area as long continuous lines. They give the busy street pattern a clear structure and help orient the whole map.
Winding waterways
Creeks and channels meander through the low ground and show on the print as soft, curving lines that contrast with the tight geometry of the housing.
