Courthouse square
The historic centre is a compact block of streets around the county courthouse. It is the densest part of the map and the natural focal point when the poster is framed around downtown.

Marion Map Poster & Print
Marion sits in the far south of Illinois and is the seat of Williamson County. From above, the town is arranged around a traditional courthouse square. Streets run out from that core in a loose grid, and the blocks grow larger and less regular as the town gives way to farmland, woodland and the low rolling ground of this corner of the state.
Two roads shape the plan. Interstate 57 runs north to south along the western side of town, and Illinois Route 13 crosses east to west. The commercial strips and large lots along them read as broad, simple shapes on a printed map. Between them, residential streets fill in with the finer texture of houses and yards.
West of town, Crab Orchard Lake and its wildlife refuge break the pattern with long, branching shorelines. On a Marion map poster, the contrast between the orderly town grid and the irregular water gives the composition its balance. The square stays readable as the point where everything starts.

I-57 and Route 13
The interstate and Route 13 meet on the west side of Marion. Their interchange loops and wide corridors draw clean, bold lines against the smaller residential streets.
Crab Orchard Lake
To the west, the lake's inlets and fingers of water spread across the landscape. Their natural outline contrasts with the straight streets of the town.

Miért Marion?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People hang a map of Marion because it is where they grew up, settled, or keep coming back to. The square and the streets around it hold those memories quietly. It is restrained wall art that still means something specific.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name or a meaningful date. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
