Long beach arc
The sandy shoreline curves smoothly along the town's edge and beyond it, a single long line that separates the dense streets from the open sea.

Martil Map Poster & Print
Martil lies on Morocco's Mediterranean coast a few kilometres east of Tétouan, where the Martil River reaches the sea. From above the town is defined by its long, smooth beach, a gentle curve running for kilometres along the shoreline, and by the river channel at its edge. Streets form a fairly regular grid behind the seafront, filling the flat coastal plain.
The town once served as the port of Tétouan, and boats used the river to reach inland. Today Martil is known above all as a seaside town, much visited in summer, with a promenade along the beach and newer apartment blocks spreading along the coast. Faculties of Abdelmalek Essaâdi University located here have also shaped its growth.
Behind the town the plain rises toward the Rif mountains, while the road to Tétouan cuts inland through the valley. A Martil map poster shows a clean, simple composition: the arc of the beach, the river winding to the sea and the orderly blocks of a growing coastal town between them.

Martil River
The river meanders across the coastal plain from the Tétouan valley and meets the Mediterranean beside the town, adding a soft, winding line to the map.
Seafront promenade
The promenade and coastal road run parallel to the beach, with the grid of streets stepping back from them block by block toward the plain.

Miért Martil?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Martil is where many families from Tétouan and across northern Morocco spend their summers, and where students attend classes a short walk from the sea. A map of the town recalls those seasons, with the beach and river always at the edge of the frame.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Start with the free watermarked preview, then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
