Residential loops
Neighbourhoods are built around curving loops and cul-de-sacs. They give the poster a dense, decorative texture unlike an old town grid.

Maurepas Map Poster & Print
Maurepas is a commune in the Yvelines, west of Paris, and part of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines agglomeration that grew around one of France's new towns. From above, most of it looks like a planned suburb from the second half of the twentieth century. Residential loops and cul-de-sacs branch off wider distribution roads, and ponds and parks are woven between the neighbourhoods.
The older village is still visible as a small cluster of streets. Around it, the newer districts are laid out in distinct pieces, each with its own internal pattern. Main roads pass along the edges, and toward the southwest the landscape opens into farmland and the woods that lead to the forest of Rambouillet.
A Maurepas map poster reads like a catalogue of suburban street forms: loops, crescents, dead ends and green paths, all packed together in neatly separated neighbourhoods. In black and white, the pattern becomes almost ornamental, and the surrounding woods and fields give it a calm frame.

Old village core
A small cluster of older streets marks the original village. It shows up as a finer, more irregular pattern among the planned districts.
Green corridors
Parks, ponds and footpaths run between the neighbourhoods. On the map they form open channels that separate each district from the next.

Miért Maurepas?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Maurepas is where many families settled when the new town grew, and the streets carry memories of childhoods spent in the parks and on the paths. A map of the commune turns that everyday place into a clean graphic piece.
Personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, in French or English. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as $9 HD files, PNG and PDF in six sizes, or as a matte printed poster shipped within France.
