Curving subdivisions
Each neighbourhood has its own loops and cul-de-sacs, and together they form a patchwork of flowing shapes that reads beautifully in black and white.

Meadowbrook Map Poster & Print
Meadowbrook is a census-designated community in Chesterfield County, Virginia, on the southern side of the Richmond metropolitan area. It is not a traditional town with a single centre. From above, it appears as a series of residential subdivisions, each with its own pattern of curving roads and cul-de-sacs, linked by larger connector routes and commercial strips.
Between the neighbourhoods, belts of trees follow small streams and leave irregular green gaps in the built fabric. On a Meadowbrook map poster these gaps become white space that separates one cluster of streets from the next. The looping road shapes give the design a soft, organic quality that is very different from an urban grid.
Communities like Meadowbrook grew as suburban Richmond expanded, and their layout reflects a preference for quiet streets and private gardens. The map is a straightforward portrait of that landscape, without invented monuments. It shows the roads people use every day and the natural features that shape them, from creek valleys to wooded lots.

Wooded stream belts
Narrow tree-lined corridors along small creeks separate the neighbourhoods, giving the map natural breaks and a sense of rhythm between the built areas.
Connector roads
A few larger routes cut across the area and link the subdivisions to shops, schools and the wider Richmond region, anchoring the looser street patterns.
