Neponset River
The Neponset forms Milton's northern boundary with Boston. Its curving channel and riverside paths draw a natural line between the town and the city beyond.

Milton Map Poster & Print
Milton lies immediately south of Boston, and its map has two natural edges. To the north, the Neponset River separates the town from Boston's Dorchester and Mattapan neighbourhoods. To the south, the wooded Blue Hills Reservation rises to Great Blue Hill. In between, residential streets curve around hills, estates and ponds rather than following a strict grid.
The contrast between the older village centres near the river and the open land of the southern half gives the poster real depth. On the summit of Great Blue Hill stands the Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory, which has recorded the weather continuously since 1885, one of the longest such records in North America.
Milton is also the birthplace of President George H. W. Bush, and the historic Mattapan trolley runs through the town along the Neponset. A Milton map poster captures a residential landscape shaped by water, woods and hills, where the edge of the city softens into countryside within a few miles.

Blue Hills Reservation
The large wooded reservation covers much of southern Milton. It leaves a wide open space on the map, crossed only by parkways and trails.
Winding residential roads
Instead of a grid, Milton's streets curve around hills, ponds and old estates. The relaxed, organic pattern reads well in fine black lines.

Miért Milton?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Milton makes a thoughtful map for families who have lived there for generations, for former students of its schools and for anyone who hikes the Blue Hills. Add a title and subtitle with a family name, a house or a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line.
Classic black & white and Paper suit a New England home, Noir gives the reservation's open space a dramatic look, and Blueprint and Sand offer something different. Download six sizes for $9 as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
