Sector grid
Mohali's sectors are large rectangles bounded by main roads, continuing the system of neighbouring Chandigarh. They give the map its strong, regular structure.

Mohali Map Poster & Print
Mohali, officially Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, lies directly south-west of Chandigarh, and much of it continues its neighbour's planning system. The map shows a grid of rectangular sectors separated by wide roads, each with its own internal network of streets and green spaces. Newer phases extend the pattern into former farmland, where the grid grows larger and more open.
The city has developed into a centre for information technology, education and healthcare, and Chandigarh International Airport lies within its district. Cricket followers know Mohali for the Punjab Cricket Association stadium, which has hosted international matches including a World Cup semi-final. The city is named after Sahibzada Ajit Singh, the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh.
A Mohali map poster is almost a diagram of modern Indian urban planning: sector after sector drawn in neat rectangles, with wide boulevards between them and the looser shapes of villages absorbed into the grid. In black and white the order of the plan reads clearly, and the small irregularities give it character.

Airport Road corridor
The road to Chandigarh International Airport cuts through the southern parts of the city. Newer developments line it and extend the urban pattern outward.
Absorbed villages
Older villages within the city keep their own tight, irregular lanes. They appear as small organic patches inside the ordered sectors and hint at how the land looked before planning.

Miért Mohali?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For people who live in Mohali, work in its offices or grew up in the tricity area, a map of the sectors is instantly recognisable. You can personalise the title, add your sector or a date in the subtitle, and keep or change the coordinates line.
There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the city's planned grid particularly well. The $9 HD download covers six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, and printed posters can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.
