Alabama River bends
The river swings in broad meanders along the city's northern edge, giving the map a strong curved boundary against which the downtown grid and riverfront park stand out.

Montgomery Map Poster & Print
Montgomery sits on the south bank of the Alabama River, which loops across the north side of the city in wide, slow curves. Downtown begins at the riverfront and climbs gently along Dexter Avenue to the State Capitol on Goat Hill, a short axis that frames the old centre. Beyond it the grid loosens into leafy neighbourhoods, and the interstates I-65 and I-85 meet just southwest of downtown.
Few American cities carry as much weight in national history for their size. Montgomery was the first capital of the Confederacy in 1861, and less than a century later it became a birthplace of the civil rights movement, with the bus boycott of 1955 and 1956 and the end of the Selma to Montgomery march at the Capitol steps in 1965.
A Montgomery map poster brings those layers into one frame: the river bends, the straight line of Dexter Avenue, and the outward spread of the twentieth-century city. In black and white the composition is balanced, with water curving across the top and the street grid filling the ground below.

Dexter Avenue axis
Running from Court Square up to the Capitol, Dexter Avenue is a short, straight street with an outsized history, clearly visible as the spine of the old downtown.
Interstate junction
I-65 and I-85 meet close to the centre, their long ramps and curves forming a distinctive knot on the map just southwest of the historic core.

Miért Montgomery?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Montgomery means different things to different people: a home town, a state capital, a place of pilgrimage for anyone interested in civil rights history. A map of its streets marks that connection without needing words, though you can add them.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF, or you can order a printed poster with an optional frame.
