Reconquista River
The river loops through the district in slow bends, the only natural line in a map dominated by right angles, and it gives the whole composition a gentle diagonal flow.

Moreno Map Poster & Print
Moreno sits at the western rim of the Buenos Aires conurbation, where the dense suburban fabric begins to loosen into open pampa. From above it reads as a patchwork of rectangular blocks, each neighbourhood laid out on its own slightly different angle and stitched together by a handful of long arterial roads. The Reconquista River winds through the district, its meanders drawing the one irregular line across an otherwise orderly field.
The town takes its name from Mariano Moreno, one of the leading figures of the May Revolution of 1810. Its centre grew around the station of the Sarmiento line, which links the district with Once in the capital, and the tracks still run like a spine through the plan. National Route 7, the Acceso Oeste, cuts a second, broader line through the district.
A Moreno map poster captures this meeting of grid and river, the point where a metropolis thins out. In black and white the blocks become a fine lattice of streets, the rail line reads as a firm straight stroke, and the curves of the Reconquista provide the softness. Toward the edges, larger parcels and quinta plots hint at the countryside that still surrounds the town.

Sarmiento railway
The line from Once in central Buenos Aires runs straight through Moreno, and the town centre clusters around its station, a pattern shared by many suburbs along the western rail corridor.
Blocks on shifting angles
Neighbourhoods were platted at different times, so their grids meet at slight angles, creating seams and triangular leftovers that look striking when rendered as pure line.

Miért Moreno?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For people who grew up in the western suburbs or commuted on the Sarmiento line, this map holds a very specific geography: the station, the river, the long avenues home. It works as a quiet reminder of family, of a first house, or of the place where every trip into the city began.
You can set the title, a subtitle such as a date or a family name, and the coordinates line, then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, or you can order a matte print, framed if you like.
