Foothill slopes
The ground rises gently toward the Turkestan Range to the south, and the roads follow the slope. This gives the map a subtle flow from the mountains down to the valley.

Muchun Map Poster & Print
Muchun lies in the Sughd region of northern Tajikistan, in the foothills between the Turkestan Range and the lowlands that open toward the Fergana Valley. From above, the settlement is a network of lanes and walled plots spread across gently sloping ground. Gardens and fields fill the spaces between the houses.
Farming shapes this landscape, especially orchards and fields watered by channels that carry water from mountain streams. The town is close to Istaravshan, one of the oldest cities in the region, and shares its mix of rural lanes and busier roads. On a map, the many small plots create a fine, intricate texture.
A Muchun map poster shows this farming settlement in careful detail: winding lanes, household plots, and roads leading up into the mountains and down toward the valley. It is a quiet, personal map, suited to families from the area and to those who have moved abroad but keep strong ties to Sughd.

Garden plots
Houses stand within walled yards and gardens, producing a dense mosaic of small plots that prints as delicate, closely spaced linework.
Irrigation lines
Channels and streams carry mountain water across the fields. They appear as thin, winding lines that link the settlement to the farmland around it.
