University palace
Leibniz University's main building occupies the Welfenschloss, a former royal palace. Its large footprint and formal garden form one of the most recognisable shapes on the poster.

Nordstadt Map Poster & Print
Nordstadt is an inner district of Hanover, just north of the city centre. It is one of the city's student quarters, built largely in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as the city expanded. On a map, it is a dense grid of perimeter blocks with streets meeting at angles, broken up by small squares and a church or two.
The district's western edge is dominated by greenery. The main building of Leibniz University is housed in the former Welfenschloss, a nineteenth-century palace, with the Welfengarten stretching out in front of it. Beyond lie the Georgengarten and the approaches to the Herrenhausen Gardens, with the River Leine not far away. The contrast between tight housing blocks and wide parkland is the defining feature of the area.
A Nordstadt map poster is a natural choice for students and graduates of the university, as well as long-time residents who know every corner shop and courtyard. It captures a neighbourhood with a clear character: compact, lively and densely built, yet only a few steps from some of the largest green spaces in Hanover.

Perimeter blocks
Much of Nordstadt is built in closed urban blocks from the decades around 1900. On the map they create a dense, regular texture broken by occasional squares.
Gardens to the west
The Welfengarten and Georgengarten open up the western side of the district. Their broad green spaces balance the density of the housing and lead towards Herrenhausen.

Miért Nordstadt?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For many people Nordstadt is where adult life began: a shared flat, lectures in the Welfenschloss, evenings in the local bars. A map poster of the district makes a thoughtful graduation gift or a reminder of those years.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are editable, so you can add a graduation year or a street name. Blueprint suits an engineering degree, while Classic black & white works for any wall. Six print sizes are included in the digital download.
