Flat plain grid
The terrain around Peicheng is so level that streets can run dead straight, producing a regular block pattern that prints with unusual clarity at every poster size.

Peicheng Map Poster & Print
Peicheng is the seat of Pei County in the far northwest of Jiangsu, within the prefecture of Xuzhou. From above it reads as a tidy urban core set into an almost perfectly flat plain, where roads run straight for long distances and the edges of town give way quickly to a patchwork of fields, irrigation channels and small villages laid out along field boundaries.
The county has a long place in Chinese history as the home region of Liu Bang, who rose from local official to found the Han dynasty. On a modern map that history is not written in winding lanes but in a new town plan: broad avenues, large residential blocks and a grid that has pushed outward over the past decades as the town grew.
A Peicheng map poster suits the clarity of that plan. Printed in black and white, the rectilinear streets become a calm pattern of lines, while the watercourses that thread the surrounding plain add a few softer curves. Toward the east, the wide lake country along the Shandong border suggests how water shapes this part of the plain.

Irrigation channels
Narrow canals and drainage ditches cross the farmland around town, drawing fine parallel lines that give the outer edges of the map a quiet, measured texture.
Lake country east
To the east lie the broad lakes along the Jiangsu and Shandong border, a reminder that this flat county sits within one of eastern China's large wetland systems.

Miért Peicheng?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For people from Pei County, the map is a way to keep the home town close: the avenues walked to school, the edge where the fields begin. For others it is simply a strong graphic, a clean plain-country grid that works well in a study or hallway.
You can set your own title and subtitle, adjust the coordinates line, and choose among five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print, with an optional wooden frame, from a partner near you.
