Pinheiro Map Poster & Print
Pinheiro lies in the Baixada Maranhense, a low-lying region in the Brazilian state of Maranhão shaped by rivers, lakes and fields that flood in the rainy season. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets set against a landscape where water and land are constantly shifting, and where the line between the two changes with the time of year.
The town sits by the Pericumã River, and the surrounding area is crossed by channels and wetlands that give the map an organic, flowing quality. Roads leading out of Pinheiro run across this flat land toward neighbouring towns, often in long straight stretches over the lowlands, which contrast with the curving waterways around them.
A Pinheiro map poster brings together the order of a small town and the looser shapes of the wetland region around it. The streets in the centre are regular and close together, while the edges dissolve into rivers and open ground. In black and white, that contrast becomes the main story of the print.

Pericumã River
The river runs past the town and through the lowlands, its curving course adding a natural line that contrasts with the straight streets of the centre.
Baixada wetlands
Around the town, lakes, channels and seasonally flooded fields create an irregular pattern of water and land, giving the outer edges of the map a softer texture.

Miért Pinheiro?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
For people from Pinheiro, the town is tied to the rhythm of the rains and the rivers around it. A map poster keeps that relationship visible, showing home as a compact grid surrounded by water, whether it hangs in Maranhão or much further away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name, a date or a few words of your own, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
