The Pinnau
The small river bends through Pinneberg on its way toward the Elbe. Its narrow meandering line is a natural counterpoint to the surrounding streets.

Pinneberg Map Poster & Print
Pinneberg lies just beyond Hamburg's northwestern edge in Schleswig-Holstein and is the seat of the district that shares its name. The small Pinnau river winds through town, and the railway to Hamburg, served by S-Bahn trains, makes a firm straight line across the map. Around the centre, residential streets curve and loop in the style of a commuter town that grew quickly after the war.
What sets Pinneberg apart is the land around it. The district is known for one of the largest tree nursery areas in Europe, and from above the outskirts break into long rectangular plots, hedgerows and field lanes. That pattern gives the edges of the map an agricultural order quite unlike the winding streets closer to the centre.
A Pinneberg map poster brings the river, the rail line and the nursery landscape together in one frame. In black and white the Pinnau becomes a slim, meandering thread, the tracks a decisive stroke and the fields a fine geometric grid. The image is composed and understated, much like the town itself.

Rail to Hamburg
The railway carrying S-Bahn and regional trains toward Hamburg runs straight through town, a clear and confident stroke that divides the composition.
Tree nursery fields
The surrounding district is known for its nurseries. Their long rectangular plots and lanes cover the outskirts in a precise, almost textile-like pattern that frames the town.
