River Roch
The river runs through the town centre. Part of it was uncovered after years hidden beneath the streets, so it is visible on the map again.

Rochdale Map Poster & Print
Rochdale lies in the north of Greater Manchester, where the town gives way to the Pennine moors. The River Roch runs through the centre, and the Rochdale Canal curves past on its way over the hills to Yorkshire. Around them, rows of terraced housing, former mill sites and ring roads make up a dense, varied plan that feels unmistakably northern English.
The town has a firm place in social history. In 1844 the Rochdale Pioneers opened their shop on Toad Lane, and it became the model for the modern co-operative movement. A short walk away stands the Victorian Gothic town hall, one of the finest in the country. In the centre, a stretch of the Roch was uncovered again after decades under the streets.
A Rochdale map poster shows these layers clearly. The tight terraces sit beside the loose curve of the canal, the ring road loops around the core, and the streets thin out toward the moors at the edge of the frame. In black and white, the town's industrial pattern turns into a clean, strong graphic.

Rochdale Canal
The canal sweeps past the town on its way across the Pennines. Its long, gentle curve contrasts with the tight grid of the terraces.
Terraced streets
Row after row of parallel terraces fill the older neighbourhoods. At poster scale they form the fine, striped texture typical of a Lancashire mill town.

Miért Rochdale?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Rochdale means something to people who grew up among its terraces, supporters of the local football club, and anyone with family roots in the mills. A map of the town makes a grounded, unsentimental piece for a kitchen, hallway or first home.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates, perhaps with a street name, a year or a line for someone who moved away. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a $9 digital file in six print sizes or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
