Highway spine
The main road runs through the town and sets the orientation for everything else. Most of the urban blocks are aligned with it, giving the map a clear central axis.

Rondon do Pará Map Poster & Print
Rondon do Pará is a municipality in the southeast of the Brazilian state of Pará. It is named after Marshal Cândido Rondon, the explorer and founder of Brazil's first indigenous protection service. Like many towns in this part of the Amazon frontier, it grew along a highway. On a map, the main road cuts a clear line and the urban grid spreads out on either side of it.
The streets are largely rectilinear, laid out in regular blocks typical of towns planned during the settlement of the region in the second half of the twentieth century. Around the urban core, the landscape opens into a broad rural area of pasture and remnant forest. Straight rural roads divide it into large parcels.
A Rondon do Pará map poster shows the essential structure of a Brazilian frontier town: the highway as spine, the orderly grid built off it, and the sweep of countryside beyond. In black and white, the contrast between the tight urban blocks and the open surrounding land becomes the heart of the image. It is a clean, honest portrait of a place with a relatively recent story.

Regular block grid
Rondon do Pará's streets form a largely orderly pattern of rectangular blocks. In a print, this creates an even, balanced texture across the whole urban area.
Open surroundings
Beyond the town, land given over to pasture and forest remnants spreads outward, crossed by long rural roads. It frames the grid in generous open space.
