Sceaux Map Poster & Print
Sceaux lies just south of Paris in Hauts-de-Seine. On a map, its most striking feature is the Parc de Sceaux, a large formal garden designed by André Le Nôtre in the seventeenth century for Jean-Baptiste Colbert. Straight avenues, symmetrical parterres and the long rectangle of the Grand Canal take up a large part of the town and immediately catch the eye.
North of the park, the town centre follows older, more irregular streets around the church and the pedestrian main street. Residential neighbourhoods of villas and small apartment buildings spread around it on gently sloping ground. The RER B line crosses the area, and Sceaux is known for its schools, including the Lycée Lakanal with its own wooded grounds.
A Sceaux map poster sets that formal garden against the finer street pattern of a traditional suburb. The straight lines of the park give the composition a strong framework, while the town fills the rest with detail. It is a refined, architectural map that suits a calm interior.

The Grand Canal
The park's long rectangular canal cuts a clean, straight band of water through the greenery. It is one of the most recognisable elements on any map of Sceaux.
Historic centre
North of the park, the older town has winding streets around the church and a pedestrian main street, providing a finer texture next to the formal garden.
