Rounded old town
The historic centre is a tight block of narrow lanes whose outline follows the former town walls, and it is still easy to read on the map.

Schorndorf Map Poster & Print
Schorndorf sits in the Rems valley in Baden-Württemberg, a short distance east of Stuttgart. The river runs along the valley floor, and the town grew up beside it with its old centre forming a compact, rounded block. From above, the tight streets of that core stand out clearly against the looser residential areas that climb the slopes on either side.
The historic centre is known for its half-timbered houses and broad market square, and the street plan still follows the line of the old town fortifications. Schorndorf is also the birthplace of Gottlieb Daimler, the engineering pioneer, and his birth house still stands in the old town. The castle, on the edge of the centre, also survives from the town's fortified past.
A Schorndorf map poster captures the dense historic core, the river and railway running along the valley, and the hills rising on both sides. It is the kind of small-town plan where every lane of the centre is legible on paper, and the whole historic town fits comfortably in one frame.

Rems and railway
The Rems river and the railway run side by side along the valley floor, drawing two long, roughly parallel lines across the width of the poster.
Valley slopes
Residential streets climb the hillsides north and south of the river, curving with the terrain and giving way to woodland and fields higher up.

Miért Schorndorf?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Schorndorf prints go to people who grew up among its half-timbered lanes, commuted from here to Stuttgart, or simply know the Rems valley well. The town is compact enough that one frame shows the whole historic centre.
Personalise the title, add a line with a wedding date or the year you moved in, and choose one of five styles. Paper and Sand give a softer, archival feel, and Noir shows the old town as white lines on black.
