Tolo Harbour shore
The town faces a long, sheltered inlet, and its curved waterfront gives the map a smooth edge, with a large park running along much of the harbour front.

Tai Po Map Poster & Print
Tai Po lies in the northeast of Hong Kong's New Territories, at the inner end of Tolo Harbour. From above, the district is shaped by water: river channels run through the town toward the harbour, and a long waterfront faces the sheltered bay. Wooded hills rise behind the urban area, giving the town a clearly defined setting.
The town combines an older market centre with a planned new town built in later decades. The old market area has a denser pattern of small streets, while the newer districts are organised around large housing estates, wide roads and open spaces. Tai Po Waterfront Park stretches along the harbour, and the country parks on the surrounding hills are some of the most visited in Hong Kong.
A Tai Po map poster captures this balance between town and landscape. The channelled rivers, the curved shoreline of Tolo Harbour and the empty spaces of the hills frame the urban grid, producing a map that feels open and calm, quite different from the dense image many people associate with Hong Kong.

River channels
Rivers flowing down from the hills pass through the town in engineered channels, drawing clean lines through the districts before they open into the harbour.
Hillside country parks
Green hills surround the urban area, and on the poster they appear as wide open space, emphasising how compact the town is compared with its natural setting.
