The Taloqan River
The river crosses the valley beside the town. Its channels and banks form the main natural line on the poster and anchor the street pattern around it.

Taloqan Map Poster & Print
Taloqan is the capital of Takhar Province in northeastern Afghanistan. It lies on a river of the same name, part of the Kunduz river system, where a broad valley opens between hills. On a map the town is a dense core of streets and markets beside the river, with irrigated fields and orchards reaching outward along the water.
The land around the town changes from flat, cultivated valley floor to dry hills and, further east, the high ranges of Badakhshan and the Hindu Kush. Irrigation channels carry water from the river across the plain. On a map their fine lines, together with field boundaries and village lanes, form a detailed, organic texture around the town.
A Taloqan map poster is a personal record of a regional centre that rarely appears in print. Roads lead out toward Kunduz in the west and Badakhshan in the east, framing the town as a crossroads of the northeast. It is a meaningful print for people from Takhar living abroad and for those who have worked in the region.

Market core
A dense network of lanes and bazaars sits at the centre, the busiest part of the map, and main roads converge on it from several directions.
Irrigated plain
Channels, orchards and field boundaries spread across the valley floor and fill the edges of the map with fine, branching lines that thin out toward the hills.

Miért Taloqan?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Taloqan is a print for people who carry the town with them wherever they live, for families returning home and for those who spent time in the northeast. A clear map gives a calm, lasting image of the place.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or year, and decide whether to show the coordinates. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as HD files or a printed poster.
