Taquari Map Poster & Print
Taquari takes its name from the river beside it, one of the main waterways of central Rio Grande do Sul. On a map the river shapes the town. The built-up area stretches along the bank with a modest street grid behind it, and fields and wooded strips spread out into the countryside.
It is one of the older towns in the state, with roots in eighteenth-century settlement by families from the Azores. Its place on the river made it a natural point of passage and trade in the valley. The link between town and water is still the defining feature of its plan.
In a Taquari map poster the river becomes the strongest line in the composition, a broad curve set against the fine lines of streets. The farmland around it, marked by roads and field boundaries, gives the edges a lighter, open texture. The town reads clearly as a place defined by its valley.

Compact grid
Behind the waterfront, the centre follows a simple, regular layout of blocks, typical of small towns in the region and easy to read at any poster size.
Valley countryside
Beyond the urban area, rural roads and field edges fan out across the valley, giving the poster a quieter outer ring around the town.
