Rail-aligned downtown
The oldest blocks follow the angle of the railroad that founded the town, giving the centre a slightly different orientation from the newer neighbourhoods laid out on the compass grid.

Tulare Map Poster & Print
Tulare grew up in the southern San Joaquin Valley as a railroad town, and the map still shows it. The street grid is regular and orderly, aligned with the old rail corridor that runs through the middle of town. Highway 99 passes along the western side, and beyond the last residential blocks the land breaks into the rectangular farm parcels typical of California's Central Valley.
The town takes its name from Tulare Lake, which was once the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi before it was drained for agriculture. There is no water on the map today, but the flatness of the land is its own record of the old lakebed country. Tulare is also home to the World Ag Expo, one of the largest farm equipment shows anywhere.
A Tulare map poster is a study in straight lines. The downtown grid, the rail alignment, the highway and the surrounding section roads make for a crisp, almost architectural drawing. It suits anyone who likes a map that shows how a place was laid out on purpose and then extended block by block.

Highway 99 edge
The state highway runs north to south along the western side of Tulare, a strong continuous line that separates the town from the fields and connects it to the rest of the valley.
Agricultural grid
Beyond the residential streets, square and rectangular farm parcels extend in every direction, drawn as a loose lattice of section roads that fills the outer part of the map.

Miért Tulare?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Tulare is a place people come from, farm in and return to. A map of the town brings the valley's straight roads and open space into a home, a reminder of wide skies and fields for anyone who has moved elsewhere.
Add a title, a subtitle and a coordinates line of your choice, whether that is a family name, a move-in date or a year of graduation. Print it in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
