Missouri River valley
The broad Missouri floodplain lies south of the city, with meandering channels and backwaters that form a soft counterpoint to the street grid.

Williston Map Poster & Print
Williston sits in the northwest corner of North Dakota, on the north bank of the Missouri River near its confluence with the Yellowstone. From above, the city is a broad, orderly grid on the prairie, bordered to the south by the wide river valley and the upper reaches of Lake Sakakawea, the reservoir formed by the Garrison Dam.
Williston became widely known during the Bakken oil boom of the early 2010s, when population and construction grew quickly. On the map, that growth shows in new subdivisions, industrial yards and wide roads around the older core. Nearby, the Fort Union Trading Post and Fort Buford historic sites mark the rivers' role in the fur trade era.
A Williston map poster balances the straight lines of a plains city with the looping shapes of the Missouri valley. The downtown grid, the ring of newer development and the river bottoms to the south make a clear composition that reflects both the old river town and the recent oil-driven expansion.

Prairie grid
Williston's streets follow a regular north-south, east-west pattern typical of plains towns, stretching outward across flat, open ground.
Boom-era edges
New neighbourhoods and industrial areas built during the Bakken boom extend the city outward, adding larger blocks and wide roads around the older centre.

Miért Williston?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Williston means different things to different people: a lifelong home, a place where a career began during the boom, or a stop on the rivers Lewis and Clark travelled. A map poster captures the city at a scale that holds all of those stories.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps the year you arrived. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get the digital set for $9, or a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame shipped from a nearby print partner.
