Wood Green Map Poster & Print
Wood Green lies in the London Borough of Haringey, in North London. From above, it is a dense pattern of Victorian and Edwardian terraced streets, packed in tight parallel rows, with the High Road running north–south as the main commercial spine. To the west, the ground rises to Alexandra Park, where Alexandra Palace looks out over the city from its hilltop.
The Piccadilly line serves Wood Green station, and the area grew rapidly after the railways arrived in the nineteenth century. Today it is one of the main shopping centres of North London, with a covered mall and a long stretch of shops along the High Road.
A Wood Green map poster captures a classic London district: rows of terraces, a central high road and the large open space of Alexandra Park on the hill. In monochrome, the contrast between the dense streets and the park is especially clear, giving the print a strong, balanced layout.
